A lot of individuals have been forced to stay home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has caused a lot of worry to a lot of people, as businesses are losing revenue, people are losing their jobs and the rate of people contracting the virus has been increasing, hence the reason for the lockdown.
Even with all these, there are still great ways to keep your sanity in this compulsory lockdown.
I have come up with 8 things to do at home while social distancing to keep your sanity.
So here they are :
1. Learn a new skill online
Thanks to the internet, there are more than 10,000 sites you can learn new skills. If you have been complaining about not having enough time to study or learn a new skill, here is the opportunity, take hold of it!
2. Check up on your loved ones
Family & friends are important. This compulsory lockdown is a great opportunity to reach out to your loved ones, catch up on old times, appreciate those who have helped you one way or the other, reconcile differences you might have had with anyone and put smiles on people’s faces.
3. Eat healthily
Eat good food, not junks only. Make sure your meals include immune system boosters like Grapefruit, nuts, yogurt, vitamin c, etc.
4. Clean up your CV
You can use this opportunity to review your CV and even add up the new skills you have learned during this period. Make your curriculum vitae more appealing, there are free CV templates you can use online to help you achieve this.
5. Develop that business idea
Now is the time my friend, now is the time. You don’t want to hold that great business idea for so long that someone else brings that idea to a reality. Develop that business idea and see what happens, just start!
6. Keep fit with exercise
Here’s the time for you to keep fit by exercising. Exercising will help keep your heart and lungs strong.
7. Read books
Reading is important because it develops our thoughts, gives us endless knowledge and lessons to read while keeping our minds active.
8. Sleep
Use this time to get good and sufficient sleep. Without a sufficient amount of sleep, we increase our risk of developing serious health problems.
And the extra one:
9. Be hopeful that everything will be okay.
Which of these are you doing already?
Conclusion
Whatever it is that you are going through at the moment, stay strong and keep your faith alive. Through perseverance, time will surely come to your rescue. – Edmond Mbiaka
